KkkeerrrrrPpppoWWwwww!

 Egad.... byJinks.... crikey love...
Laptop broke - Enforced Cyber break! but that is a story for another day.
Child has a birthday disco tomorrow. It has been chaos!
But listen, MrsB arrives in about an hour so all will be well.
The sun has been shining, neigh.... burning for days / weeks even, and life seems somewhat sleepy right now. Maybe that's the exhaustion talking?
 Felt flowers - yes sireeee.
Available in Strawberry & Lime at present - FuzzyFish.etsy.com
They will find their way into LovePaperFish, maybe, when the Little Ones get back to school and the sun gives in to the inevitable pregnant rain clouds.
I popped the first few FELTY FLOWERS into my new webshop:
http://www.mrsite.co.uk/usersitesv30/LovePaperFish.com/wwwroot/userimages/procart26.htm
More importantly, i have been having fun making them into brooches and into stems for a felty, floral bouquet. So quick and easy. Cheating really. Taking the skill out of crafting. But not the fun! As i am someone who does not feel the need to SLAVE hours over a handmade project - i can feel quite satisfied with a quick n easy too.
Cannot wait to get back to blogging - to putting lots of new things into the shops - to tell you all about the crafty plans i have in my pocket.
It is allll good people.
Happy Eggs! and Happy Sunshine!

More Cute-ness *sigh*

Oh the joy....
i have had such a nice time making these new "PinPuffs". What is it about them that makes me so satisfied? I like their 'littleness' and their oblong / sqaure-ish shape.
And i like the lace detailing with the ribbon tag "sewing story".

I like using lots of different fabrics and mixing them up with contrasting coloured tags and backing fabrics.
I sooooo love this *new* SUMMERSVILLE sweetheart fabric - (i have made large cushions from this too...to be continued)
It's the detail... look at that darling little birdie at the bottom! i never realised i was so very girlie...

Again, using fabric from SUMMERSVILLE with an appliqued Matroyshka.
There is so much variety and brightness.
Of course, there is also the lavender... i am *stoned* sat here in my little studio. Overcome with the fragrant fumes of organic lavender :)

So, yes! i am more than happy with all this new cuteness coming from the PaperFish studio this past week. I suppose i am enjoying NOT thinking about Christmas (for a change)
P.s *must not eat that amazing chocolate cake that i baked last night... must remember that fat thighs are not happy thighs...must think of New Year diet.... must not even wipe my finger round the edge of cake to sneak some icing*

Paperfish @ LauraFallulah x

This beauty is the actual Laura Fallulah ( i know, she is a babe ) But she also has a shop on NotOnTheHighStreet.com and LauraFallulah now stocks PaperFish products - exclusive to her store. She is also stocking Summersville items from the Uber-talented Lu Summers, so i am in very good company. LauraFallulah has these adorable Matroyshka Fabric badges - an ideal stocking filler or gift for a teacher.
Pretty Pooch - always popular and especially so in Apple and Pink :)

The DEER fabric Badge - what a cutie? finished with a pink felt disc and blue button. Great gift for the Tweenie girls 8 - 12yrs

And Tea Cup fabric badges - these are by far my favourites. I wanted to keep these for myself but they do look cute in Laura's shop.
Fun, fun, fun - it is a lovely feeling to have other people stock my products>>>> LauraFallulah has a link button on the sidebar if you want to see all her great items for sale.

What's in your pocket?

Oooh, Hello Nibbles... are you coming out for a bit? ....Just thought you'd sniff about? see what's going on?

I wouldn't bother my little furry friend - it's raining outside........

.... again.

The need for glasses....

So.... i was super busy and i took, not even ONE photo of the 80 amazing hats that i saw at The Mad Hatters Cocktail Party this weekend! Argh, i hate myself for the missed opportunity to share frivolity with you all.
Instead we have 'The need for glasses' ... Fishy style...
I call this first photo "Beer Goggles" (a blonde me in Barcelona) Then we have SmallFish wearing a respectable pair of real goggles ... of course, we are nowhere near a swimming pool...

Holiday Specs - these sunnies have re-surfaced this Spring to help shade the past 2 weeks GLORIOUS sunshine, here in the UK....

SmallFish in my favourite new Sunnies x
MrsB and I deciding whether the glasses were better in black or red (they had white too)...
I love this colour and these glasses - i remind myself of an 80's pop album cover, very 'Depeche Mode' or something?

Miaaooowww - we all preferred the glasses in RED!
I did wear these as part of my party outift at the weekend (it was a very black and pink combination)
And to finish off, CraftyFish doing silent movie stills, in the privacy of her own photographic studio ...(aka The Bathroom)

A random selection of playing with glasses x let's see your Sunnies!!?! x

"Our House", in the middle of our street...

I love that song by MADNESS - sorry to all those non-Uker's who don't have a clue... But tis a song about an 'average' family in a suburban street going about their 'everyday lives' - i like it. And hhhmmmmm, What's this? New 'house' products KirstyFish? They look suspiciously like items handmade and reatailing by SUMMERSVILLE how dare you??
I dare, because Lucie Summers said i could! I bought her AVENUE fabric in Sky, Red and Apple and i have made gorgeous new NeedleBooks with them. The little Houses lend themselves perfectly to the small round design of the NeedleBook. It is a joy and a privalige to use. Delicate however because the screenprint is onto linen so the fabric needs a gentle touch when it is being 'fiddled' with over and over and over again, as is the nature of making these books.

New Buttons in BigFish "1 inch pairs x10 colourful pairs" - i launced them the same time as the NeedleBooks because of the colour / round / dolly-ness of both items. I think they look yummy together....

OH! I nearly forgot to talk about the 'final' page in the SKY NeedleBooks - the pocket page has a 'secret house' stitched on - it was a last moment inspired addition to the page and i love it. I wish i had done it to all the Books, but i only just 'idea'd' it so, only 'Sky Blue' have this treat x

No matter where you cut Lu's fabric, the design looks awesome and 'works'. Each cut gives a whole new little scene - an 'avenue' / a terrace / a grand house with trees / a cul-de-sac...
AND because i love her work so much I have bought some mini-button badges and i am giving them away FREE with the first 6 Avenue NeedleBooks purchased. I feel like I am mad giving away so much gorgeousness but i have this intense desire to share with the world right now!!! and this is my simple message:
"There are so many talented people out there MAKING wonderful, quality, unique
items with their own hands and hearts - Mass production has no soul. Share your
handmade treasures x"
I didn't mean to write a sermon (whoops) just share some stuff...

My Friend Lu Summers

NO! That isn't Lu (she pretty lady) THAT horror is me....Having trouble sleeping at the moment. Worries about this and that.
Too many late nights sat at the laptop surfing etsy, flickr, etc...

But ooh la la ... LU SUMMERS! A new friend of mine. I feel honoured - look at me rubbing cyber-shoulders with a proper artist person.....
And how lush is this fabric?
And her photos are always so staged and spectacular and enviable ,,, yet so simple and heart warming... go see for yourselves because my stealing her photos doesn't give you the full LU Summers experience -
Lovely Lu sent me these ACE badges that i would love to keep! But hurrah for you guys because i am giving them away in my 'Freebie Bags' when you purchase from the BigFish store x
