A set of *new* Linen and Cotton Patchworked PinPuffs.
My exclusive and very fantastic design in which you can have your PinPuff hanging on your sewing machine at easy reach, or on your Sewing Tote Bag (remove pins first if you going out)
These are super pretty with pink, moss and blue colours.
A strip of vintage look lace.
Mix of Linen and Cotton and..... a lovely blue Matroyshka.
http://www.paperfish.etsy.com/ is full and fit to burst with new Button Brooches. So much fun, easy to wear and any generation likes these - i know, coz i sold many of them last year on my Craty Stall to Young and Older alike.
I am just getting around to posting Party Packs of Button Brooches onto the LovePaperFish shop and also a new range of Hanging PinPuffs.
I have sooo much to do - and i have been very tired this week.
More Linen & Stitch Brooches available, again in the Etsy shop.
And i shall be working the Weekend, at my trusty Brother, whipping up a new set.
And don't miss tomorrows / weekend BLOG BULLETIN!
Some exciting news that you may (or may not actually) wanna read about.
My legs are stiff from an 8.5k run this morning (awesome!)
And i need to go pack parcels in the studio and get them posted.

Monday Blues

 I have the Monday Blues...
I put it down to a week of fun Craft Fairs and thus, utter exhaustion.
SmallFish needs an angel costume (at 48hrs notice if you please) and i still have a few more fairs to go. I think i just need a glass of something with MrsB and a decent meal.
But i still have the urge to create and sew. I just feel nicer when the fabric is running through my fingers and my eyes are fondling the ribbons "what shall i use for this project...?"
I think my new supplies that recently arrived, have given me a new direction.
Smaller brooches - sweeter - easier to wear and slightly more subtle?

Expect many more of these in 2011
HUGE sale items in http://paperfish.etsy.com/ to be continued through into January and the shop cleared for new stock. I feel like i need a bit of a re-vamp. A fresh approach.
But, to lift me from the Monday Malaise...
a huge *wave* and smile to all those lovely ladies at MaKe on Sunday. I had a sore throat from so much talking. A big thanks to Chloe for being a sweetheart. A 'have fun' all those who bought supplies and chatted to me about your projects. Truth is... i love sharing my enthusiasm and i love it when you all share yours with me.
ThankU so much to the talented and pretty http://katherineperry.blogspot.com/ and i cannot wait to give these at Christmas. And CCccooooeeee to Emma LK and her Mum xx and also the BookShop sweetie and HER mum - stop following me! (no, don't) have the most lovely Christmas xx
The delightful Lion is actually for me. I am putting together a great collection of creatives from other artists and crafters for my studio. Things that delight and inspire me.
Tell me to take a break?
It's just... i have so many ideas and so many fun things to share....
2011 is a fine time to roll all these out. I need to chill out and get a smile back.

Before tomorrow evenings Festive Shopping Fair (another, i know!) I think i might pop to the Antiques Cellar in the morning and a local Jumper Sale.
I need the warmth of Wool and the indulgence of vintage.

Into the Shops...

Ahh, the internet retail chaos of my life has finally slowed to a few buttons sales :) It's all been good and i thank all my customers so much for wanting to shop with me. It means alot xxx I won't shut the shops for Christmas although, i won't be posting anything from Dec 23rd - 29th. I wanted to get ahead of myself though and list the last few items that were sat in my studio. I have a feeling might have switched off come January!
So: 2 new Princess Brooches - very pretty and girly with polka dots and bows.

The Bakers Wife Needlebook - in pinks (The Bakers Daughter is in blue and yellow) She is such a sweetie and i love the pink cheeks.
A seasonal red and pearls Button Love Brooch - too late for Christmas but Wintery all the same and perfecr to cheer up bleak days and warm woolies.

Loving so oooo much these knitted Beau Brooches - a couple of them now up in the Folksy shop. They are very limited edition so get them whilst they're there.
Hey up, looks like it could be snowing out there.... gotta go, Snowpersons to build and all that wetness. x

More Flora and a Rudolph...

A few more of the *all new* singing and dancing Flora Brooches - into the PaperFish shop today. I think i enjoy making these because they are all a little different and it can get tedious sewing the same designs over again. I love discovering a new colour scheme and thinking "why haven't i mixed these colours before?" (i do talk to myself alot, i am terribly fascinating...)
Some are pastel-y, some are BrIgHt as can be and others are all muted and subtle.

I think i need to photograph a big batch of them and make the piccy into postcards... i might have to wait till slightly sunnier weather tho - anyone seen the sun of late? or has it gone on a small vacation?

And.... a Rudolph. A silly little something that might find its way into the SmallFish's Advent Calender - it has little pockets and i put a gift in for each day. HEY, she's my child and i will spoil her if i want to :)
Felt fancies do you good x

Teal, Claret, Lime and Flora....

Just updating on what's *new* in the shops.....
Deliciously rich CLARET polka dot buttons. 1cm - very berry x Me, in a strange, clandestine "you've not seen me right?" *might be a spy* sort of a pose...
wearing a new FLORA brooch. So in love with these babies.
There are more of these being listed in PaperFish tomorrow. I listed 4 on Friday and sold 2 in the space of about 20 minutes so that was a lovely feeling :) They are about 2.5" across 5.5cm and made out of yummy soft felt but backed by a metal badge so sturdy enough for any coat or bag.
I'm thinking gifts for friends or a fun teacher (or yourself! you know who you are shopper x)
They are about £4.90 each in the etsy shop. I might put them in the Folksy shop but that seems so crowded at the moment... i might wait till Spring? Well, you know where i am if you want any in GBP
And then... LIME and PINK PinPot - be still my zinging heart, J'love this fella!

Oh, and TEAL polka dot 1cm buttons too - these are a beautiful colour and i will wait till the Spring to play with these as i have enough on my Christmassy plate right now, but they are in BigFish if you want to play.

Gotta go - keep crafty x

Think of this post as a trendy radio show... as i do i few "Shout outs!"

Big "Shout Out" to Lupin x she knows why! and i wanted to show her i really did wear my tea cup brooch today!!.... and that is me with my *new* giant Starbucks Mug, mmmmm. A big "Shout out" to anyone round Milton Keynes - i'm at Giffard Park Primary School tomorrow at an Autumn Craft Fair... see you there locals!?>>> (that's my stuff i'm getting ready)

BIG "Shout Out" to Milton Keynes / Stony Stratford / Wolverton people as on SUNDAY i will be at the MADCAP centre in Wolverton for a Craft Fair called: MaKe! Come along, it might be fun...
(getting my Brooch stand ready)

"Shout Out" to BigFish.etsy.com where i will listing these yumtastic buttons - they are clear! coolio or what?

and a little "shouty out" to my PaperFish shops on Folksy and Etsy where i'm uploading these Button Love Brooches....
Maybe i'll have time to take photos of crafters lovely stuffs over the weekend...?
I will try xxx

Working from home...

My job is so tough... get me,
Firstly today i had sew sweet buttons and brooch bars on to finish these off... Then i had to photograph this new brooch - sigh, it is just too cute and I am loving it more than is healthy for a 34yr old child.

***KirstyFish is secretly working on new projects for children and this brooch forms part of the master plan***
Then i had to make myself some nice fresh coffee and finish off that last slice of chocolate Biscotti...

It was reeeaaaally tough when i was forced to sit and enjoy it sat in the sunshiney window of my Art Room, wearing thrifted dress that is oh so flowery...
...I might need a lie down after all this effort x

Stuff i'm up to...

Hello!!... so, i made lots of brooches over the past few weeks (as blogged previously) so i have been trying to find a sunny 10 minutes in the day to photgraph some for PaperFish I LOVE these tea cup images i downloaded from the net, i couldn't resist using them as a background for my photographs...
But these pictures are here to just to punctuate the post - i was really going to tell you that I am off to the Craft Trade Fair in Birmingham tomorrow for a lovely look around x i'd love to take you all but there is simply no room in the car :( lots of stalls all trading their creative lovliness. I am on the hunt for one or two new suppliers and *she hopes* a few exciting new things for the BigFish shop!

I will try to take lots of great pictures to share with you and i hope to upload them soon and tell you all about the great stuff i saw...

I also wanted to say one or two "SO SORRY"'s to anyone who had their parcels delayed by the snow! We had terrible trouble here and the Postal Service was so delayed. I think we are all back on track now though.
Thanks for your patience and understanding !

Put the kettle on, be back soooooon x x x

The Snow has had its advantages...

Is there a UK Blogger who hasn't written and photographed this fantastic snowfall??
Don't worry, I am not uploading my entire family album "February Snow 2009" - just one shot of me and the SmallFish. The snow has been BRILLIANT and BOY! have we walked and walked and sledged and tramped and walked... the exercise, fun and relaxation was most welcome!
And I have managed to sit in front the lovely open fire and finish off many brooches. Some were new designs, some are a wholesale order, some are going to be made into 'wholesale' packs. All are fun, colourful, cute and a bit eccentric - well what else would you expect?
Loving my darling Dachsunds - These have been designed and produced 'under influence' from Christmas 2008 customers who wanted MORE Dachsund items. Everyhting with little dogs sold well in 2008 and so, who am i to argue? In fact, i agree whole-heartedly x

Then, i got this divine new linen fabric from japan with fantasy mushrooms and storybook ladybugs. They translated so well into the NeedleBook pattern. Every time i have a new design i say "this is my favourite" and the new woodland beauties are no exception: "These are my favourites!!"

Like a few of the 'Avenue Books' i have added little designs to the Pocket page. I couldn't resist as the fabric is so inspirational.

The first is in pink (Don't worry Heather, i can make you an identical book!) This one is listed in FOLKSY only - Click on the Fish photo near the top righthand column if you want to see the Folksy shop in ££££ x

Cute little Hedgehogs running across the pocket page - One of a kind as the design was cut from the Selvedge edge on the fabric.

Also available in the more earthy look of greens and browns and reds.
Oh the joy of sewing x
Plenty more *new* things to show you soon! Life was good this week. Snow Fun, Sewing Fun, Photography Fun, Sunshine days ... life couldn't get much better x love to you all.
