After School Tea Party...

Last Week's Post School TEA PARTY
no need for an excuse - it's a 'just because' party
and we invited Grandma and Grandad too....
I don't reeecccaaallll inviting the dog.
But he seems to have found himself a comfortable seat at the table.
 mmmm, tea and cake.
Sweeties and pretty china.
Fresh tealeaves and candles for fun
And a *new* Sweetie Wreath in the GingerBread World Christams Collection.
And i sold some more GIANT Lime Wreaths!
Sooo cool.
I have just made a new version of this Cath Kidston Christmas Butnting with Fresh Aqua Stripes to replace the traditional green spot.
Peoples: the sun is apparantly gonna shine this week...
Go Make Hay!!!! xxx

I'm sacking my Staff Team...

I am getting frustrated at my product photography.
I had a fantastic bathroom 'set up' for my photography in my previous house.
I just can't seem to find the ideal location with good white light...
And these two aren't helping me much!!!
 WHAT are you doing fella?
I'm a bit busy here Boy...
"i can help Mummy, I'll just sit here and wait for instruction"
 You win Baggins Boy...
I am frustrated and now distracted by the fluffy face of yours.
Yummy new products to shoot and i am so proud of them all,
but i hate it when the photographs don't seem to do them justice at all.
Sod it - i'm off to play with the Dog

If i called these Zebra Buttons, does that matter?

Because i do knooooow that Zebras are striped. But they just say ZEBRA to me.
So i called them Zebra Buttons.
*a bit happy with these*
And then i listed a mixed bag of the Zebra with the new Mushroom Stripe and i called this bag the
"Zebedee Button Bag" don't ask me the logic behind this. I just get a feel for a button bag and i have to name it so.
Again, i bought lots of these as i have been making Button Bouquets and they are nice n fat n big to have at the bottom of the stack.
 Never seen a Button Bouquet?
Fear not - i'll blog what i have been doing in the next day or so. They are super fun but very addictive!
Customers ask why i sell in my buttons in so many mixed varieties and it is because:
a) they look pretty and inspiring
b) if you buy them in bulk, rather than in ones or pairs, i can give a much better price on them.
c) some people want many buttons the same / identical and some crafters need a real mash up of stuff so i try to get a balance of both.
Inspired by the sunshine, i decided to make a few flower brooches too, with the felt flowers.
Too, too easy but now i have some brooches to add to my basket for Summer shopping trips.
AND.... get me, i have been sewing again! I know, it seems like so very long since i did any sewing, but i got the urge and so i went with it. Patchwork Lavender Hearts (as yet un-photo'd)
In between a few long dog walks, to make the most of this sunshine before the wet weather finds us again.
Aaaaahhh, Pooch... i did, in fact, need that Tennis Ball before you punctured it, you beast.

An Ordinary Day...

Some days are lovely, but quite like any other...It started to look good when BIGGERMummyFish and SisterFish popped over to share a pot of fresh coffee and freshly baked LemonChoc Biscotti (inspired by this lady)
The dog was outside enjoying the wamest Spring sunshine...

The beautiful child was outside enjoying the warmest Spring sunshine....

The beautiful child was outside enjoying the novelty of having Mummy's digital camera...
(we title the above frame "Dead Cow")

I might title this photo "Mad Cow" x

I love her photography skills!
And this pot of blooms was planted out for me as a birthday gift last week - it has just 'bloomed' and it brightens my garden no end.
Just an ordinary day, in the extra-ordinary life, of little ole me and my folks x

Pampered Pooch

I am owned by a Diva of a dog, a real pampered pooch - chocolate labrador!
Yes, she is my first love (all dog mummies know what i am talking about)
When i first made a 'doggy product' to sell, i think it was a card with doggy stickers and paw prints... it was a top seller.

Since then, i can see just how devoted people are to their poochies.
I made this Pampered Pooch Brooch to see if my customers loved it as much as i do. And they do!
I have one listed in my etsy shop but, to be honest, i never to get to make enough for the craft stall let alone list on etsy.
Hope you like him?

I love wearing brooches.
They have so much ... personality!
