Gingerbread....
What is it about Gingerbread i love?
(everybody wave at MrsB down there, looking all Christmassy - and notice the Gingerbread style house at the back of the table. The B's own it and i sorely wish i did!)
I have been thinking about my obsession... i couldn't find all the Gingerbread item photos in my PC picture files, they've all gone wandering...
What IS it about Gingerbread?
Most probably my love of baking, coinciding with my love of crafting...

What IS it about Gingerbread?
Devotion to working with and being with children, that began long before i became a mamma.
I lived in Germany for a while and they *know* how to do Christmas. I love the real German Markets full of wooden stalls like an imagined Gingerbread village. Maybe it's nostalgia?
Ribbon Shopping...
Do i need to add words??? Is there a reader that *neeeds* an explanation? .... There isn't room in my mouth for all the salivating that's gone on today.
I went RIBBON SHOPPING!!
Most people can say "I popped into Morrisons today" ... i can say "I went ribbon shopping"!!
And YES, photographed, uploaded, listed in the shops within 2.5hrs of walking through the door.
It isn't selling that I am actually addicted to.... it's 'sharing' and they look soooo good when they are captured on a digital image.
Checks and Polka Dots and Tartans and oranges and browns and greens.... i didn't buy enough ( i know that now)
Oh and PINKS mmmmmm i didn't realise i had so many different pinks! Yummy for the pink fans.
So, "that's a wrap"!
Gingerbread Life x
I confess... some decorations never really get taken down (My man rolls his eyes in disapproval) Christmas is an all year crafting marathon and NOT because i am a work-a-holic. I do genuinely get so much pleasure from it.
I love going to all the Christmas Craft Fairs - the slog of dragging in the bags from the car and setting up the display.... meeting my customers FACE to face (the internet is lovely but not quite as personal)
But, really ...... i wanted to tell you about the moment i sat sewing the Gingerbread Men on Monday and i thought "I love these men but they are all so different. I hope people don't mind which one they get sent if they buy from SnowFish" etc... i got to thinking that people might want to decorate their own little man????
So i listed (in the etsy store) a man to 'decorate for yourself' - what do you think????
It might be nice to give people that option? I make a blank body - send some buttons with him - and the crafty customer can go crazy with their own Ginger design??
As long as they don't sell them on etsy afterward (a CLAUSE in the adoption process) all should go well?
It is a Gingerbread Life - where the 'Crunch' in our house is all biscuit and no 'Credit' X
I'm not on holiday anymore
But since then it has been full steam ahead. I have been making xmas decorations like a little factory. I find myself such a hard task master. I would ideally like to sack myself and employ someone less .... demanding.... But then, i'd never get any work done! X
Cut new buttons photo ahhhhhh x
