*NEW* Cath Kidston Fabric Pack

So.... for the Fans of Cath Kidston and her amazing fabrics:
A pack of 5 large sheets Double Weave Cotton.
1 Cherry, 1 White Bird, 2 Florals and a Stone spot - all of these are my Favourites. Lord knows why i am selling them on!
only available in the FABRICS section at:
my lovely store for buttons & bits that seems to be an endless list of updating and tweaking.
In my http://paperfish.etsy.com/ store i have been listing these very cute
Button Tag Packs!
Weeny Button Tags in packs of 5 that make awesome little gift tags for childrens gifts or to stick on a bottle of wine for a host gift. Also great to pop in party bags as favours for the more grown-up party bags.
I have been making lots of Greetings Cards which has been great as i never get a chance to work with paper and fabric. I love how every card can be different and it doesn't matter. The freedom to make what i want, instead of stuff in 'batches'
I love imagining 'who' will receive the cards and whether or not they like them.
It makes me feel proud. And it's always nice to receive a card from a friend.
Tags lying all over, drying out...
They look so funny, like they are breeding at an alarming rate!
I have been doing very little of late, except go Running, Weight Training and Crafting.
Although i did go and see HANNA at the cinema the other day.
have you seen it advertised?
Good for those of us who are interested in Children and the innocence of children and childhood - that great painful chasm between the innocence and adolesence.
Good film but a 12A??? it was a bit Gory....
Maybe i'm a wimp? (But oooohh, Eric Banna...)

NeedleBook Party...

In honour of getting a bit of a mention here:
I thought i had better support the article and remind everyone of my awesome NeedleBooks!
EDIT - This NeedleBook SOLD already
I haven't had a chance to make or list any *new* designs for so long, what with moving home, the new studio AND Christmas selling.... you know how it is ladies!?
But i am super proud to list a lovely few different designs in the http://paperfish.etsy.com/ shop.
Folksy remains a little empty of my handmade lovelies - so sorry UK but you can always email me and shop from the Etsy shop in GBP. It is no hassle for me.
Loving the above Book "DJ Stitch".. getting 'street' on ya and 'down wiv the kids' it just amuses me.
And i will never apologise for loving the soft and cutesy designs. They make me happy! So these little Hedghogs get a worthy mention here.
Many designs made from selvedge so they are Unique and one-off designs, expecially for us crafters addicted to sewing.
I could go all commercial on you and say "oh yes, ideal Christmas Gifts" and all that...
But, do you know what? my busiest time for selling these NeedleBooks.... is in January. So we allllll know that these are pretties that we buy for ourselves, hahahaha - the best type of Christmas Shopping in my opinion.

EDIT TO ORIGINAL post....
This is a yummy new NeedleBook in the Etsy PaperFish shop
And this is *new* too - i love making new designs.... (must get on with the Christmas Stock now)
see at you a fair maybe??

Craft Room Chaos for Tuesday....

What's that grumpy face for MsFish? - i don't feel grumpy, honest!
That is me wearing my newest vintage dress. Liz Clairborne, bought for £1 and worth every penny. It is red and very eighties in a Laura Ashley sort of a way. Drop waisted and calf length. The sleeves are huge and i luffs it. I made these today - and photographed them (despite the dreadful lack of natural sunlight)
And i made these: Gingerbread Cookie Hearts. Sold as a pair in chocolate brown shades and rosy pink. I am determined to make a huge Gingerbread Cottage this year and so i need to get some more delicious looking decorations...

The trees are my Folky Forest: currently listed for sale as a set of 5, each one a different colour. I am stupidly happy with how these turned out.
It can be tiring making the same designs over and over again, so it is of little shock that i constantly 'update' the shops with new creations.
The best feeling is getting a real 'public' reaction to new designs, when i get them out on the Craft Stall "Oooh, these are lovely" or "Oi, Jan, look at these. They're nice aren't they" Never a guarantee that an item will sell - but i can't help making more... I LOVE crafting x
Tuesday Musings.... thanks for popping by!

I've been making these....

Usually, i have an IDEA, suddenly.
And it can take me no longer than a few hours to design, make, photograph and list it for sale! These little fellas seem to have been hovering in the studio half-made for about a year!
I think it took my Sister's input to make me finish a few.
She loved them and wanted one for herself,,,,, it was her birthday so i needed to finish at least one for part of her gift.

I think my issue was, i wasn't 100% sure .... what they 'are'!?
... my sister used hers as a keyfob / charm for her set of car keys.
... my daughter wore hers as a Zipper Pull on her jacket.
... i hung mine on my PIMPED (!) sewing machine as a handy pincushion...

So, you can see my dilemna?
They are a bit of fun. A splash of soft felt colour in your world.

I suppose you have to be a bit of a woodland / toadstool / mushroom 'fan' to see the appeal of these. But, anyway, they appeal to me...

Lots of variations on the same design and theme.
Different colourways and button choices.

Afterall, they are supposed to be 'fantastical' - who said they had to all be in red and brown?
Oh, colour play.
When will this fun ever stop? x

I got me some amazing friends...

I took an exhilerating Country walk with the fat pooch this morning. I looked out of the window from my cosy bed, cup of tea in hand.... i could easily have decided that today wasn't a good walking day (i would have been so wrong) The countryside never looked as pretty as it did this morning.... And on my return from the walk, the Postman was just headed in my back gate to leave a parcel in my 'etsy bin' at the back door.... OOOooohhh, i know you all understand the excitement of that brown envelope / paper parcel....

Cute tissue paper, cute tag, cute stickers... it was an anticipated gift from my friend meplusmolly...
NO, it wasn't from myself - my friend is also called Kirsty (because it is a wildly talented and creative name you know!) I LOVE the tag Kirsty x

Oh FRIEND! that tweedy fabric is so nice. The colours are divine. You know how to get everything just right! Star Anise (sp?) such a touch x

Stretching down to a LLLlooooooonng 'skinny long stocking' in pink french style fabric with little heel and toe details. Vintage buttons... Kirsty, you just have an 'eye' for what you're doing.
Did i mention it is stuffed with Lavender too? Just dreamy x x x

And i love that it is such a contrast to my Uber-bright items. There is a place for sobriety, for sweetness, for subtlety in my creative life! And, being a Pisces, the contrast suits me.
I wish you lots of success and happiness, especially in your new move x and a really big THANKYOU! I love it.

P.s. I have to remind blog readers that my friend MrsB sent me this prior to Christmas... just because i admired hers so much.
See? I am truly blessed that i have such amazing friends. Thankyou x
