Jubilee Bows and Owl Trim

 uh oh, P.S
also great for cake toppers = these mini fabric bows!
Cute, no?
I love these. They are so London and definately what 2012 is about.
A bit of pride in our Nation and all that it encompasses. A bit of support for a Monarchy - that i do believe, generates much more money for the UK in Tourism than it spends. Sorry, that is my stance on the Royals.
And my less controversial opinion on owls.
OWLS!
I live in "Owl End Way" so this trim is just gorgeous in my opinion.
Promise i will blog something clever and noteworthy soon...
(Ok, like i ever have blogged anything of the sort.... but maybe some more great cooking)

The Little Experience - Owl Review...

We had a 'House Day' today - staying in the Casa, mooching, cooking, cleaning (crafting!) and LittleFish wanted to sew her Owl Kit that was a birthday gift... It is by "The Little Experience"
Naturally we scrapped the instructions and use the sewing machine - you could easily sew by hand but my little one is just not that patient.
The OWLS are fabulous darling!
The printed pieces are just darling and we enjoyed it.
My criticism of the kits would be:
Nowhere near enough stuffing (good job i have a bit in the studio....)
Naturally - i would have added buttons to embellish. The kit could do with a few nice embellishments to add onto the Owls afterward.

These were our babies stuck outside in the ivy (photo: courtesy of the 6yr old) but this wasn't enough for my girl. We have since had to make nests, a perch, some leaves.... to make them feel at home...
AAaaahh crafty bliss :)
Owls on Branchs and polka dot felt leaves!
Twiiiitttt Twwwwhhhoooo....

Yes, i scrapbook too!...

So, i used my new stash for:
A page for 'My' book - the cutout city scape paper and the number stamps... A work in progress (the page and the child)

Lots of papers and sparkle stickers...
Hand and machine sewing on this polka dot and birdy page...

I was really pleased with how this idea turned out... a strip of Owls with ribbon tags all the way down either side... a page about 'Tuesdays with Daddy' x
There was more, but this was a little taster. Scrapbooking is really something i do for me and it's nice to share but it's nice to keep some things 'just for me' x
